Well, it certainly has been awhile since I have updated my blog.....

Jake came for a week's visit in July and we had a wonderful time.

We went to the beach for the day....

I put this collage together of our trip, plus additional

Ok, I will be flying to Arizona late September so I will

post more pictures of my trip at that time.

Jake and Cat are officially engaged 2/14/09

Jake and Cat are now officially engaged. Jake 

shared with me their wonderful day together.

Cat loves horse back riding. So Jake and Cat

spent two fun hours riding horses. They were

with a guide and surrounded by wild horses too.

Jake took some pictures and will e-mail them

to me. I will post them when I receive them.

Then, Jake took Cat to the Fontana Fountain

and there he asked her to marry him.

Fortunately, she said yes. Jake was pretty sure

she would. Afterwards they had a wonderful lunch

at a local cafe.

I talked to Cat last night and welcomed her into

our family. She thanked me for Jake......how sweet.

I thanked her for making my son happy. 

We love Cat and I am excited for them. They will

get married AFTER Jake graduates.

Family gathered for Christmas, New Year's and

celebrating Jake's 21st birthday!!!

Snow...snow...snow and more snow!!!

Meet our new addition to our family,

Justin our Penguin. Richard surprised

me with this big guy last Friday night.

What a wonderful surprise when I

drove into our driveway and saw him.

Richard named him "Justin". He is

the twin to Jakers.......who will be home

on December 30th for a week  : ) Justin

will keep us company until Jakers gets home : )

Hunter went outside for a quick trip

and then wanted right back in...

Hunter is much happier just looking

at the snow from inside.....

Taking care of our birdies...

And our hummingbirds...

The snow is beautiful but I am ready for

all of this to go away!!! It is messing up everyone's

plans for the holidays...
